AmeriCorps Member, Direct Service - Lilyfield’s EmpowerOKC program is seeking applications to serve as direct-service AmeriCorps members. AmeriCorps members will provide Check & Connect mentoring services to 1) elementary students and their families who are in communities at high-risk for exposure to the foster care system and 2) middle/high school aged foster youth. Members will also support EmpowerOKC’s after school program, summer program, community engagement, and volunteer recruitment. Members will serve 12-40 hours per week for 8-11 months dependent upon their member type (Minimum Time, Quarter Time, Three-Quarter, or Full Time). This is NOT a salaried employee position. All members qualify for the Segal Education Award upon the completion of service. This education award can be utilized toward a member’s college tuition or student loans. Full time, Three-Quarter, and Quarter Time members receive a living allowance. Full-time members may be eligible for healthcare or childcare benefits. AmeriCorps members will gain valuable non-profit experience implementing an evidence-based intervention with diverse populations. Candidates must be 18 years or older and a US Citizen. AmeriCorps Member, Capacity-Building - Lilyfield’s EmpowerOKC program is seeking applications to serve as capacity-building AmeriCorps members. AmeriCorps members will provide support to the planning, development, and facilitation of EmpowerOKC’s after school program, summer program, community engagement, data collection, and volunteer recruitment. Capacity-building members will serve as Quarter-Time members in one of two terms: 1) 12-20 hours per week, September-May or 2) 37.5-40 hours per week May-July. This is NOT a salaried employee position. Quarter-Time members qualify for the Segal Education Award upon the completion of service. This education award can be utilized toward a member’s college tuition or student loans. Quarter-Time members receive a living allowance. AmeriCorps members will gain valuable non-profit administrative experience. Candidates must be 18 years or older and a US Citizen.
