What is Kids Club?

EmpowerOKC Kids Club is a club for children ages Pre-Kindergarten to 13. The purpose of Kids Club is for children to learn social and emotional skills and to be in an environment where they feel safe and can thrive. Kids Club is TBRI focused where we view the child through a trauma-informed lens. 

What will my children learn in Kids Club?

Some of the social and emotional skills children will learn in Kids Club are the following: controlling emotions, feeling empathy, impulse control, learning to listen, respect, mindfulness, etc. Children will learn these skills through a social and emotional curriculum as well as through playtime.

Where does Kid's Club meet?

Kids Club meets Monday-Thursdays at various locations including EmpowerOKC at Redemption Church, Rockwood Elementary, and Esperanza Elementary between the hours of 3:30-5:30 p.m. or 4:00-6:00 p.m. depending on location.
